Reverend Paul Conner

Senior Pastor
Before entering the Ministry, Pastor Conner became a Naval Officer after graduating from The Citadel in South Carolina in 1979 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology/Zoology. Pastor Conner has been in the Ministry since 1987 after earning a Master of Divinity degree from Trinity Lutheran Seminary in Columbus, OH. He has served in three parishes (from 1989 to 1994; in one moving from Associate Pastor for Christian Ed. & Youth to Senior Pastor). He also shepherded Zion Lutheran Church in Staten Island, NY through the 9/11 trauma after the terror attacks (from 1994 to 2003). He was Pastor of Hope Lutheran church in St. Petersburg, FL from 2004 to Sep 2010. He joined Lamb of God as Senior Pastor on Sept 14, 2010.

Isoris (Izzy) Bango-Sanchez, M.D.

Vicar and Spanish Mission Developer
Izzy feels very blessed to have become the Mission Developer of the Spanish Mission in our church,
Iglesia Hispana Luterana Cordero de Dios, since Feb 2017.  
He began his seminary education in Oct 2017 and became Lamb of God's Vicar in May 2019.
Born in Cuba, Doctor in Medicine in Dominican Republic, Registered Nurse in Florida,
and volunteer in several community organizations.
Vicar Izzy loves to make people smile and heal both spiritually and physically.
He truly believes we are ALL children of the same Father in heaven!
He feels he has helped heal numerous human bodies but now has been called
to be part of healing and enriching human souls with the guidance of our Lord and Father.

Evelyn Brewer

Office Administrator
Since joining Lamb of God in 2018, Evelyn is responsible for the day to day operations of LOG, the Bellwether (our monthly newsletter), and our Sunday presentations and handouts, among many other responsibilities. She feels blessed to have found Lamb of God’s welcoming community and is enthusiastic about meeting and serving all of its members. English or Spanish speaker, if you've ever called the Lamb of God office, you most likely have spoken to Evelyn.
Evelyn comes with a strong administrative background. Prior to joining us she served for over 15 years at another religious institution.

Alex Sanchez

Music Director and Organist
Alex is a native of New York City and has family origins from Puerto Rico. He is a 10-year Navy veteran. During his military years, he was very active with the Chaplain's Office providing music for church services on and off base and directing chapel choirs.  Alex had originally planned to pursue a career in Cultural Anthropology but recognized his God-given call to music ministry. He earned a Bachelor of Music degree in Sacred Music with an emphasis in organ and voice from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. He also attended Southern Adventist University in Collegedale, TN where he took classes in both theology and music and Lee University in Cleveland, TN, where he took classes in church music organization and leadership, hymnology and hymnody. He has been a music educator in both the private and public school systems since 2010 and has taught all grade levels from VPK to 12th. He currently works as a music teacher for Polk County Public Schools and has served as Director of Music and Organist at Lamb of God Lutheran Church since Jan 2018.

Liz Heidegger

Director of LOG Handbell Choir
Liz has a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Capital University, in Columbus, OH. She also achieved the Mastery of Kodaly Certification and Level I and Level II of Orff Certification. While teaching music for 29 years in the public-school system in Ohio, Indiana, Illinois and Florida, she also was a presenter on Performance-based Teaching and Sequential Teaching with State Goals and National Standards at county and state workshops for teachers. Liz's middle school choirs received outstanding ratings at state contests. Beyond teaching school Liz was very active in the music programs. She started and directed several children/youth choirs and handbell choirs, sang in the adult choir, and was the substitute organist at several churches where her husband was pastor in the Midwest. While in Kissimmee, FL, Liz started two handbell choirs for residents, playing several years at Walt Disney World for the Christmas season. Liz has over 20 years’ experience in directing handbell choirs for all ages. After joining Lamb of God in 2002, Liz was a substitute organist, joined the adult chorale, played in the handbell choir, and started a children's choir.
