In January of 2014 an exploratory committee was appointed by the Church Council to explore the possibility of having a memorial garden on the grounds of Lamb of God Lutheran Church. Work of the committee resulted in a proposal to build a 40 foot by 60 foot Memorial Garden.
After a generous gift by the Kenneth Berner Family, the garden was approved at a special congregational meeting in September of 2014.
The project ground breaking was Nov 3, 2014 and the dedication of the Garden was held April 26, 2015 with 142 cremains niches available.
The Memorial Garden is owned by, and is part of, the church. It is not a cemetery.
The use and maintenance is under the exclusive control of Lamb of God Church or its designees.
Internment of ashes shall be limited to members and other eligible persons of Lamb of God Lutheran Church.
The current one-time fee for the right of having one's cremains placed in the Garden is $500 for a member and $700 for a non-member.
If there are more than one cremains placed in a space, there is an additional cost of $250 per internment. Fee covers cost of internment,
engraving on the stone of name and dates (any additional engraving will be at the expense of the owner) and perpetual care of the garden.
Any questions concerning possible internment should be referred to the
Pastor or a member of the
Memorial Garden Committee.
